8th Grade Religion – Aug. 27th
This week, we started our Encounter (Acension Press) curriculum. We are working through Chapter 01, which is about why the Bible is so AWESOME.
This week, we have discussed the organization of the Bible, and the fact that the Bible (Story of Salvation) contains a thru-line that can be understood.
We have been reading lesson-related text passages together as a class, and we have been reviewing question – and answers – to the worksheets in class, so that, once they are home, they can synthesize our discussions.
The most important thing that your child can do right now is to review all handouts that are sent home (they are listed in Facts). This is the material the kids will be quizzed on.
At this rate, we will likely have our first quiz tomorrow (Friday). My intention is, for the first quiz, to review the questions and answers today (Thursday) to ease the kids’ anxiety over the first exam.
