5th Grade Religion Newsletter

Week of 10/5-10/9

10/5 – 5th grade will start research for the Saint Research Paper which we will be doing in collaboration with ELA.

10/6 – 5th grade will discuss the Virtue of the Month (Kindness) and do an activity to apply this virtue in the student’s own life.

10/7 – (Our Lady of the Rosary) The month of October is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary and October 7th is the feast day.  We will discuss this feast and pray the rosary.  The children are required to memorize the mysteries of the rosary.  This is for the Prayer Memorization for October.  This will be due October 26th.

10/8 – The month of October is also Respect Life month.  We will discuss the dignity of all life from conception until natural death.  Please note that we are collecting change for Bottles for Babies to benefit ENLC (a pregnancy center that helps mothers with diapers, formula, etc..).  This will be done in each homeroom.  A pizza or donut party will be provided for each homeroom if they fill the bottle.

10/9 – We will get back to our book and start discussing The Trinity.  We will continue this and have a quiz on The Trinity October 16th.
