PreK 3-4 Learning about being Good Neighbors and Helpers!

Erin Shaw · October 16, 2026

This week we kicked of Community Helper week with an exciting visit with the Mason Firefighters! We learned about community helper jobs and where they work and what tools they use. We rolled the dice and climbed the ladder and also played matching games in math. We read Fire Drill and Fire Dog this week and introduced the letter F. The children are learning the sounds, shapes and words that start with M, B, A, and F. The children talked about how they can be helpers like in the Good Samaritan story. All of the students are building fine motors skills with playdough, drawing, cutting and writing their name any way they know how. I am seeing progress each week in many areas of formation, intellectual, spiritual, apostolic, and human development. Remember to bring a small pie pumpkin to the front office for our pumpkin patch by October 22/23. Please sign up for conferences on October 29 and 30 online. Blessings, Mrs. Shaw
