Jr. Kindergarten learned rules and procedures
Dear Jr. Kindergarten Families,
The Junior Kindergarteners have been doing a great job following the classroom rules and procedures! This week we learned how to get our teacher’s attention, proper use of glue sticks, and how to cut and carry scissors safely.
In reading, we are working on listening comprehension, phonemic awareness, and name recognition and writing.
In math, we are working on number identification and counting.
In religion, we learned about who Jesus is and how to be good followers of Jesus in our classroom. We talked about following directions, cleaning up after ourselves, being kind, sharing, taking turns, listening to the teacher, and helping others. We will, of course, work on all these all year.
