4th grade Newsletter

4th Grade Newsletter for week of September 8 to September 11, 2026

On Thursday, you will receive their graded papers and a grade sheet. Please sign the grade sheet and return by Friday.

Religion: The students will be discussing Saints and reading from the Bible.

Science: The students will continue studying vertebrate and invertebrate then work on the creation of their own choice.

Math: The students will continue working on place value, rounding to the nearest 100, 1,000, and 10,000 for mastery toward 1,000,000.

Reading: The students will begin reading leveled chapter books on Wednesday and as we move through the week, work on comprehension and vocabulary.

Language: The students will learn about features of the characters, new vocabulary, and other elements of literature as well.

Writing: The students will continue practicing in the cursive workbook and begin working on writing their name.  They will also begin a bigger project as well.

Social Studies: The students will continue to learn about Geology of the Land, review states and capitals, and read books about the states.

Computer: The students completed their iReady portion of assessment.
