6-8 Religion: BrunsMINTS

David Brunsman · October 1, 2026

In 6-8 Religion, I have decided to bribe the kids with mints so that they’ll pay better attention to our lessons. I say this in jest, of course, but I am using mints to reward them for good behavior and habits.

This week, 6th Grade Religion, we discussed what the 4th Commandment means, and in 7th Grade Religion, we discussed the humanity AND divinity of Jesus. In 8th Grade, we discussed the tragedy of the Exile, the triumph of the Israelites return to the Promised Land, and the Maccabean Revolt.

Pictured, we played a game – boys vs. girls – in preparation for our upcoming Quiz (date TBD as First Friday is for Adoration, and I promised that I’d not give another quiz on Monday. So, perhaps Tuesday.

Either way, the girls won quiz prep (and a BrunsMINT) in 8th grade, and the boys won quiz prep in 7th grade. And fun was had all around!
