First Grade Is “SH”ining!

Hello!

First Grade has cru”sh”ed the “-sh” sound this week! We spent a lot of time finding red words in books and finding the sound in a decodable reading passage.

Important Reminders:

  • Behavior Chart: A new behavior sheet will be sent home Monday, October 19th.
  • Report Card Snapshot: A report card snapshot will be sent home on Friday, October 16th. Please make sure to take a look and return it with a signature to keep consistent communication!
  • Spelling Test/Homework: Our spelling test and homework will be pushed to Thursday, October 22nd due to a Faculty Workday on Friday, October 23rd. Homework will go home on Monday, October 19th.
  • Fall Banquet: Reminder that the annual Fall Banquet is on Saturday, October 24th! Come join us!
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up fast. Be on the lookout for a sign-up sheet. Also, please make sure to sign-up! If you do not, and show up, we cannot see you those days due to a packed schedule. If you miss the sign-up as well, please email Mrs. Mitchell or I and we can try to squeeze you in with a time!
  • All Saint’s Day: Our All Saint’s Day celebration is coming up on October 29th. I will be sending home a Saint research sheet for homework on Friday, October 16th and it will be due Wednesday, October 21st. Reminder, this is where students dress up as a Saint and we will give a little presentation on stage!
