Second Grade Newsletter August 31-September4
Hello Second-Grade Families,
Today we completed our first full week of school! This week we practiced our weekly homework routine, took a Math and a Language Arts test and began exciting units of study on the human body and Native Americans. In our Bible Chronicles we read about the Beginning of Creation: God existed First and created everything from nothing through His Word. We learned about the Queen of all Saints as well as a mother and son team, (Saint Monica and Saint Augustine) and the power of persevering in prayer for our families. We also learned that God created each of us because He loves us and he made us with the purpose to share God’s love and bring His light and life into the world.
Our students persevered this week and grew in friendship as well as in discipline. We are very pleased with the effort they put forth on their first tests, Nice job, Second Grade!
We will begin iReady testing on Wednesday. Please prepare with good sleep, a protein breakfast, and bring a water bottle and snack.
It is a joy to teach your children!
Have a wonderful weekend!
