Second Grade Shines Brighter than the Stars with God’s Love
2nd Grade Newsletter October 26th – October 30th
Dear Second Grade Families-
Please check Red Folders for printed Newsletter, and our Second-Grade Parade of Saints list. Your child has chosen a saint to learn about in school and dress up as on Thursday, October 29 for our All-Saints Day celebration. Your student needs your help to put a costume together. Please email me with questions or changes. We will practice saying a few words about our saint this week. Our students will speak on stage! mplunkett@royalmont.org
We enjoyed a book called, If the Stars had Words, written by a young author named Graeson Dall, who has just entered the Seminary. The book reflects on what the stars might say when they see the light of Christ shine so brightly in us. I have contacted the author at the request of our students to invite him to visit with our class. I will let you know when a date is confirmed. Graeson has travelled extensively as a missionary for Christ. He is a joyful witness to the gospel. I hope our students will get to meet him!
Monday is Spirit Wear Day because our cross-country team is hosting races at Pine Hill Park starting at 4:00pm. Have your students wear Cristero red and blue or spirit wear shirts and khakis, jeans, or sweatpants bottoms. Please come out and cheer for our teams!
Remember to sign up for conferences for Thursday or Friday. Students do not have school on Friday.
Have a blessed week!
