We Love Library Days
We had a great spirit filled week this week! It was so fun to see all the crazy hair, hats, and outfits! We are beginning to wrap up the first quarter of school. I-Ready results are being sent home today also. If you have questions, please reach out to me or be on the lookout for conference sign-up soon to discuss how your child is adjusting to kindergarten.
- Reading – This week we added the letter /m/ the sight word /the/. The sight word papers are good to save and to use to practice and help remember our words. We also read the story The Bad Apple.
- Math – We are learning how to break numbers into different combinations. This is called composing and decomposing numbers. For example, 6 can be 6 blue blocks but it can also be 4 blue blocks and 3 yellow blocks.
- Writing – We are continuing to practice adding details to our pictures to tell a story.
- Religion – Parables of the poor woman in the temple and the Good Samaritan.
- Social Studies – Our words can help or hurt.
